Having spent over 35 years building Tetra Pak in the Indian market, the company is a pioneer of aseptic processing and packaging technology, and is the first to move into and invest far ahead of anybody else. Future ready solutions
The pandemic revealed just how vulnerable the global food system can be. The importance of getting food to where it’s needed, when it’s needed and the vital role high-performance packaging and processing plays in achieving this has never been more apparent. And it is expected that this will only increase in the future, as they strive to ensure that the world’s growing population has access to safe and nutritious food.
The evolving external environment demands solutions that can keep up with the changes. Tetra Pak continues to innovate across its business to ensure food safety & sustainability. As an example, the company is excited about the prospects of Tetra Recart, which will help it make entry into Food. It is the more sustainable option to aluminum cans, and will be launched in India soon. In addition, the company continuously looks to expand its portfolio in a way that can cater customers’ need for efficiency and higher plant productivity.
Some of the developments will be Hyper Speeds (up-speeding of machines to meet increasing demand), E-beam sterilisation(a new improved way of packaging sterilisation), Smart packaging that monitors product health & provides traceability across the value chain, increased plant-based materials like sugar cane based polymers to make packages more sustainable, processing innovation for local categories like Khoa, paneer, SoanPapdi and digitalisation of operations (e.g., condition-based monitoring, predictive maintenance & remote monitoring of plants).
