Adani Group Commits Rs 75,000 Crore Investment in Madhya Pradesh at Conclave 2024

At the commencement of the Regional Industry Conclave 2024 in Ujjain , the Adani Group declared a substantial commitment to invest up to Rs 75,000 crore in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This ambitious initiative is anticipated to generate over 15,000 direct and indirect job opportunities across diverse industrial sectors.

Pranav Adani, the Director of Adani Enterprises, expressed enthusiasm about the growth prospects in the state, particularly in energy and infrastructure. During his address, he praised the state government for its focus on progress over politics, creating a conducive environment for development. Adani Group, with a current cumulative investment of Rs 18,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh, has already contributed to the creation of over 11,000 jobs.

Adani affirmed the group's dedication to intensify investments in existing projects while also launching new ventures to foster growth in the state. Outlining the upcoming investments, Pranav Adani revealed plans to allocate Rs 5,000 crore for the construction of the Mahakal Expressway connecting Ujjain to Bhopal via Indore.

Moreover, Adani Group intends to establish a clinker unit in Chorgadi and two cement grinding units in Dewas and Bhopal, with an estimated cost of Rs 5,000 crore. Ambitious initiatives include investments of over Rs 4,000 crore in the natural resources sector and an additional Rs 600 crore to expand the group's presence in food processing, logistics, agri-logistics, and defense manufacturing.

In a bid to make Madhya Pradesh power surplus, Pranav Adani highlighted the group's investment targets of Rs 30,000 crore for increasing power generation capacity at the Mahan Energen plant in Singrauli from 1,200 megawatts to a substantial 4,400 megawatts. The company also aims to invest nearly Rs 28,000 crore to establish 3,410 MW capacity Pumped Storage Projects.

The two-day Regional Industry Conclave 2024, inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, witnessed the laying of foundations and inauguration of 57 projects across 20 districts, including Bhopal, Ujjain, and Indore. The state government anticipates the conclave to attract investments exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore, creating employment opportunities for over 17,000 people.
