Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) launched seven new initiatives to revolutionize the way India connects, communicates, and enhances its digital security."These new initiatives are built upon three key pillars of security, affordability, and reliability", it said in a statement.
The company announced that it would from now on focus on delivering safe, affordable, and reliable connectivity to every nook and corner in Bharat. For this purpose, the new logo of the entity was unveiled by Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya M Scindia in the presence of the Minister of State for Communications Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar.
The bold word here is 'Connecting Bharat' and it connects very much with a promise of filling in the digital divide by BSNL through an advanced, reliable telecom network that connects both urban and rural India. So the spam-blocking solution by BSNL will automatically filter out phishing attempts and malicious SMS, thereby giving its customers a safer environment of communication and has no need to alert the customer while assuring communications that are both seamless and secure for all its customers.
The first such Wi-Fi roaming service has been introduced by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd for its FTTH customers so that they may enjoy high-speed internet access without extra charge at BSNL hotspots that tends to bring down the data cost of users, it said.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd FTTH offers more than 500 live channels and Pay TV along with fibre-based intranet TV. The company said it will offer this service free of charge for all the BSNL FTTH subscribers. The BSNL said data used for the purpose of TV viewing would not be charged from the FTTH data pack.
The country's telecom major BSNL has launched reliable and low-latency 5G connectivity for mining operations through made-in-India equipment along with C-DAC technology.
This would enable the advanced AI and IoT applications in underground mines and large opencast mines requiring high-speed, low-latency connectivity to various applications such as analytics for safety, remote control of AGVs in real time, AR-enabled remote maintenance, and monitoring and optimizing fleets, among many others.
