  • CTA Apparels reaffirmed its commitment to youth skilling at a special session with Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh, showcasing success stories from the Samarth Scheme.
  • Six former trainees, including Sarvesh from the 2021 batch, shared inspiring journeys from training to full-time employment, highlighting women’s empowerment through skill-building.
  • The Minister lauded CTA Apparels’ role in bridging garment sector skill gaps, emphasizing the scheme’s impact on marginalized youth and public-private collaboration for inclusive growth.

CTA Apparels has recently shown its firm commitment to youth empowerment and skill development by taking an active role during a special session presided over by the Honble Union Textile Minister, Giriraj Singh. The session was on the effect of the Samarth Scheme, a sector initiative by the Ministry of Textiles for skill development and employment opportunities in the textile industry.

CTA Apparels, being a prominent brand in the industry, also highlighted its key role in applying the scheme by sharing actual success stories of erstwhile trainees who are now full-time employees of the company.

Six of those who had undertaken training under the Samarth Scheme at CTA Apparels shared their stories during the session. Among them was Sarvesh, a young lady who underwent training in 2021. Her case was a great example of how the scheme worked not just in providing hands-on training but also in facilitating long-term jobs and self-transformation.

Sarvesh testified about how the training enabled her to find stable jobs and become financially independent, a transition which was previously uncertain. Her testimonial moved many hearts in the audience and was especially cherished by Minister Giriraj Singh, who appreciated the scheme's ability to empower women and deliver tangible, lasting change to their lives.

The Minister appreciated the increasing contribution of Samarth towards filling skill gaps in the garment sector, particularly among poor youth and women, who have limited access to formal employment opportunities. CTA Apparels' entry and ongoing commitment to providing organized training and job placements reinforce its larger vision of significantly contributing to India's textile landscape.

As the sector progresses, the role of firms such as CTA Apparels is crucial in ensuring that skilling programs go on to create sustainable livelihoods. Its engagement with the Samarth Scheme demonstrates the potential for public-private collaborations to stimulate inclusive growth, economic emancipation, and social mobility through targeted skill building.
