Dixon Technologies announced the launch of a fully-owned subsidiary, Dixon Teletech which will be engaged in the production of components in IT hardware products. The move is part of the corporate strategy to expand its businesses, especially enhancing capabilities in laptop assembly as enunciated by the government's vision under the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for IT hardware.
The new subsidiary will mainly focus on manufacturing and distributing a wide range of IT hardware components and related products in India. With India offering an increasingly large demand for laptops, strong orders have been received from leading global laptop brands such as HP, Lenovo, Acer, and Asus.
Dixon Teletech will help the company expand its presence in the IT hardware industry while optimizing its process manufacturing. This subsidiary is an important step by Dixon, which continues its efforts with a vision to accelerate growth in the Indian electronics manufacturing sector.
