JK Tyre Unveils India's First Smart Tyres with Built-In Sensors
- JK Tyre launches India’s first Embedded Smart Tyres for passenger cars.
- Built-in sensors monitor tyre pressure, temperature, and air leaks in real time.
- Developed in-house at JK Tyre’s Banmore facility under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
JK Tyre & Industries has introduced India’s first Embedded Smart Tyres designed for passenger cars, marking a major step forward in connected mobility. The tyres feature integrated sensors that continuously track tyre pressure, temperature, and air leaks, helping drivers ensure better safety, improved fuel efficiency, and optimized vehicle performance.
Developed entirely in-house at the company’s Banmore facility in Madhya Pradesh, these smart tyres reflect JK Tyre’s growing commitment to innovation and technology-led manufacturing. The tyres will be available in the aftermarket through JK Tyre dealerships, initially offered in sizes ranging from 14 to 17 inches.
This innovation builds upon JK Tyre’s earlier SMART Tyre technology launched in 2019 under the TREEL brand, which introduced sensor-based tyre monitoring and cloud-based analytics for both fleet and private vehicle users.

The launch not only strengthens JK Tyre’s leadership in the Indian tyre industry but also reinforces its alignment with national initiatives such as ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.
