Okaya Group collaborated with IOC to install 2,550 EV chargers, investing Rs 125 crore

Okaya EV Chargers has announced its plans to install 2,550 electric vehicle chargers across India, in partnership with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), at a cost of Rs 125 crore. The company has already set up 362 chargers in over 20 states across the nation in order to strengthen the EV infrastructure in the country.

The chargers that are being installed include a wide range of high and low-voltage options, such as 3.3-kW and 7.4-kW chargers, 30-kW wall-mounted CCS (combined charging system), 2 DC fast chargers, as well as 60-kW CCS2 DC fast chargers. Anshul Gupta, Managing Director at Okaya EV Chargers, stated that the partnership is in line with their goal of creating a sustainable ecosystem for electric vehicles in India. The company's advanced charging solutions will provide EV users with convenient and efficient charging options.

The total investment for this initiative is estimated at Rs 125 crore, which is a significant commitment from both partners. The objective is to accelerate the adoption of EVs and support the government's push towards cleaner transportation. As part of Okaya Group, Okaya EV Chargers has already installed 2,000 chargers across the country to support India's transition towards sustainable transportation.
