Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Retail, is making a strong push into food and beverage manufacturing with a major investment in Maharashtra. The company has announced plans to set up an integrated facility in Katol, near Nagpur, focused on producing a wide range of packaged food and beverage products. The investment of over Rs 1,500 crore reflects RCPL’s growing ambition in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
This upcoming plant is designed to strengthen the company’s supply chain and support its rapidly expanding product portfolio. It will also act as a key hub for distribution across central and western India. The facility is expected to be operational by 2026 and will generate more than 500 direct jobs, contributing to employment and economic activity in the region.
The Maharashtra government has welcomed the move, promising full support through fast tracked clearances, approvals, and fiscal incentives. This collaboration marks a significant step towards boosting domestic manufacturing and creating a self-reliant FMCG supply chain in the country.
