Siemens Unveils Cutting-Edge Tech for India's Industry and Infrastructure

Siemens Limited India held its Innovation Day 2024, which witnessed the group highlight innovative technological solutions, strategic partnerships, and expert insights that are expected to further drive digital transformation and sustainability across the industrial, infrastructure, and mobility sectors in India. Discussed topics were the Industrial Metaverse, Digital Twin technology, cybersecurity, generative AI in manufacturing, AI applications for data centers, and energy-efficient solutions for infrastructure.
The launched technologies are slated to help in increasing productivity, energy efficiency optimization, improved operational performance, and facilitating flexibility in businesses of all sizes. These solutions will be available on the Siemens Xcelerator, the broad digital business platform that already has more than 1,000 solutions around the world with contributions from over 400 global vendors as well as over 200 country-specific references in India.

In his keynote, Dr. Peter Koerte, Member of the Managing Board and Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Siemens AG, noted the critical role of advanced digital technologies such as AI, digital twins, and the Industrial Metaverse in India’s industrial transformation, highlighting their potential to support sustainable growth. He emphasised that combining these technologies with India's industrial capabilities and software expertise could lead to enhanced factory productivity, efficient energy systems, and sustainable urban infrastructure, contributing to India's sustainability goals and its positioning as an innovation and manufacturing hub.
