Valeo, a leader in mobility technology and electrification, has collaborated with Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), India’s leading SUV manufacturer. This collaboration aims to provide an electric powertrain along with an onboard charger combo for the electric utility vehicles of M&M's Born Electric passenger vehicle platform. The total order for this collaboration is close to USD 1 billion and was already included in the total amount of orders for high-voltage powertrains announced in Valeo’s Q3 results.

Valeo is a global leader in powertrain electrification and offers solutions to meet the needs of all road users. As part of its localization efforts, Valeo will invest in electric powertrain production near the Mahindra plant in Pune, Maharashtra. The production will include the electric motor, its inverter, the gearbox, and the integrated 3-in-1 bi-directional Combo power electronics. These electronics integrate the Onboard Charger (OBC), DC-DC converter, and Power Distribution Unit (PDU).
