Varroc, a world-leading auto component supplier, has entered the two-wheeler battery sector with the launch of its new VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) battery range. The move marks Varroc's foray into the after-market battery segment, reaching out to India's vast population of two-wheeler owners with reliable and maintenance-free energy solutions.
The new batteries, constructed based on VRLA technology, are meant for stable long-term performance and user convenience. Available in sizes from 2.5AH to 9AH, they fit most popular motorcycle and scooter models in the nation. With their sealed, maintenance-free construction, the need for water top-ups is eliminated, making them suitable for everyday use.
For ease of access throughout India, Varroc will distribute these batteries through a robust channel of around 730 distributors and more than 50,000 retail points. Every battery has a 48-month pro-rata warranty and a totally digital warranty claim procedure, providing convenience in service and customer satisfaction.
Some key features are a low self-discharge rate of only 0.003V a day, enabling reliable performance even after extended periods of non-use. Engineered with a service life of more than four years, the batteries incorporate 99.99% pure active material and calcium alloy to minimize internal corrosion and improve performance. Other design factors such as high-quality Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) and compact rib grid structures further increase durability, thus ideal for India's varied and harsh road conditions. The company offers models ranging from 2.5LC, VTZ4, VTZ4A, VTZ5, V5LB, V7LB, V9LB, and VTZ9.
