The Indian printing scenario has witnessed abundant off set and digital printing services since its inception, but has rarely been accompanied by design services that would help clients craft their own design ideas and have it printed for them. Delhi based Printland broke this barrier between design and print, and emerged as that rare organization that offers printing services with PAN India shipping options and free design services. Established in 2012, this company was inspired by similar businesses in USA. However, in India, there was no online tool for self-designing that rendered the whole concept of online printing services null and void.

Today, Printland offers its customers a free design tool to design more than 100 products with free templates (over one million designs) on its portal and mobile app with features of expensive design tools available in the market that help them fabricate their art work and place a printing order for the same, which will then be under taken and shipped to required locations PAN
India by the company.

It emphasizes on convenience by helping clients forgo the tedious process of hiring designers that is not only an expensive under taking, but time consuming as well.“The whole experience results in reduced cost and effort,” states Sandeep Behl, CEO, Printland.

Proffering the convenience of online business, the company has gone beyond the conventional notions of paper printing and houses seven different types of printing technologies that enable printing on any surface

Essentially focusing on printing market per se, Printland provides marketing collaterals, gifting and promotional products, stationery, brochures, posters, and many more to various industries like FMCG, Automobile, and educational institutes amongst several others that remain unmatched in the Indian market. Proffering the convenience of online business, the company has gone beyond the conventional notions of paper printing and houses seven different types of printing technologies that enable printing on any surface, be it apparel, plastic, ceramic, glass, vinyl, steel or any other material. A mix of e-Commerce and ground level business, Printland is highly adept in catering high volume
orders(as large as one lakh books and marketing collaterals)for printing and shipping orders B2B customers by feeding the information in an automated system. This proprietary system allows the company to serve B2C customers as well who order in single units.“We offer the services at a nominal price like any other printer, but we are able to manage high number of orders and distribute and ship the finished products across the world unlike any one and that puts us in a different light,” claims Sandeep.

Instilling Innovation

Most of the industrial innovation has taken place in the digital segment and promotional goods space; Printland takes these into its stride by fabricating finished promotional products and marketing collaterals by embedding company logos on shirts, brochures, catalogues. These services are solely under taken on an online platform devoid of cold calling and clientele meet ups.

Training is an essential aspect of the Printland functioning and fresh MBA graduates are provided with hands on training to fine tune their business and job skills. With a highly experienced team, this company has raised two rounds of VC funding, supporting its rapid 200 percent revenue growth every year and envisions a next round of funding in coming months. A recipient of the Red Herring Top 100 Asia award, Printland plans of expanding its customer and service base. “We should be able to cross Rs.300-400 crore revenue in next 3-4 years and gain an edge over the larger players,” signs off Sandeep.
