While the bad guys today are increasingly deploying technology to fulfil their wrongful deeds, it’s unfair that our real-life superheroes, i.e. the security personnel, are equipped with nothing but archaic equipment. Negating this old era practice, Bangalore based SRF Detective and Security Services is one of the fastest growing companies that is contributing to this Rs.640 billion industry (as per an EY, FICCI report) through its technology backed infrastructure used for tracking systems for its operations, safeguard data and streamline security functionality to provide a stable base. “Our focus is to provide cost-efficient security and enhanced value-based services through our core values,” states B.R Sheethal Kumar, Managing Director, SRF Detective and Security Services.

study of the client’s existing security facility and only then proposes revised security measures infused with technology like the electronic security system and gadgets like body search, bag search, scanners and x-ray machines, for an end-to-end security solution. Under certain unconventional circumstances like desolated areas, SRF uses highly powerful circuit equipment like high beam lights night security and barriers that often prove instrumental in mitigating attacks at odd hours. Since its inception in 2012, the company has facilitated various educational institutions, hospitals, shopping complexes and several others, with its unparalleled services in corporate security services, executive protection, and residential security services. Its intrinsically crafted emergency response team is as quick as a flash to handle any situation, whether planned or spontaneous. “We are in close contact with the police control room of Bangalore and have an intricate network of people who are our informants,” asserts Sheethal.
The perfect collaboration of technology and expertise is paramount for the organization’s success. Initially, candidates at SRF are subjected to a thorough background verification including a police verification, education qualification, and Aadhaar certificate. Post these formalities, they undergo a 20-day training period where they receive theoretical knowledge for 100 hrs and gain hands on experience at the 60 hrs on-site and field training program. New entrance are guided by highly experienced instructors who teach them basic nuances of leveraging the gadgets at hand, understand the mandatory security parameters and psychologically train them to handle highly sensitive situations. The training offered is aligned with the (NSDC)National Skill Development Corporation, PSARA (Private Security Agency Regulations Act) and the (SSSDC) Security Sector Skill Development Council syllabus that helps the training ethics achieve a national standard.

With a revenue growth of Rs.48 crore and an employee base of more than 3500 guard forces, tech-based SRF security believes it has barely scratched the market surface and is looking to expand its services into the IT corporate areas and to rest of cities like Mysore, Hassan and Hubli. Furthermore, SRF is now in talks with the Karnataka State Govt. to consider hiring unemployed rural youth who will be recruited, trained and incorporated in this growing industry. Clearly a social-security agency to bank our trust on!
