India is the third largest energy consumer in the world and ranks third in the renewable energy country's attractive index rating for 2021. By the end of 2022, the country has set an ambitious aim to produce 175 GW of renewable energy, which would rise to 500 GW by the year 2030 making it the largest expansion strategy for renewable energy in history. Despite this, there remain parts of India where there is no electricity, not even for necessities like pumping water or lighting a bulb at night, and this realization drove us to establish Karma Tech (KARMA).

Kalinga Renewable Energy Manufactures, KARMA, is one of India's leading renewable energy companies and a startup from the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Bhubaneswar, founded with the purpose to create, innovate and implement ways that can help in the production of costeffective and environment friendly energy. At KARMA, research is used to learn about new technologies and innovations that can aid people and advance society. The goods provided by the firm are expertlycreated to meet the customized needs of the customer while encouraging sustainable development. "As a technological company with a humanitarian mission, KARMA began operating in 2014 with a team of 3 people

working to develop renewable energy that could power every home. And now I believe KARMA has installed the largest number of solar micropumps in India" says Saroj Nayak, Professor at IIT Bhubaneswar and Co-Founder of the company.

There is no shortcut to success, we have to make sure that what we do is sustainable in a long run

Leveraging technology is the key to sustainable development and being a renewable energy firm KARMA understands how much difference the right use of the right resources can make.
