- Techtextil India 2025 to debut ReCycle Zone from Nov 19–21 in Mumbai, spotlighting circularity & green innovation in technical textiles.
- In partnership with SPE India, the zone will feature recycling tech, fibre regeneration, PET/plastic reuse, green certifications & AI waste management.
- Knowledge sessions to drive dialogue on sustainable design, compliance, and green investments, aligning with India’s LiFE & PM MITRA Parks initiatives.
Techtextil India 2025 will launch the 'ReCycle Zone', a special pavilion with the focus of promoting circularity and green responsibility in the technical textiles industry. Developed in partnership with the Society of Plastics Engineers India (SPE India), the platform will highlight innovations in the theme 'Reclaim, Reuse, and Reimagine' when the exhibition is held from November 19 to 21, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
As more industries globally adopt circular economy principles and sustainable production methods, the ReCycle Zone will be a melting pot for recyclers, technology suppliers, machine producers, start-ups, and policy-makers engaged in re-moulding waste textile and plastics into value-added products. The zone will highlight innovative recycling technology and sustainable solutions, which align with Techtextil India's mission to promote responsible innovation.
Executive Director and Board Member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd Raj Manek termed the introduction of the ReCycle Zone as timely and strategic, adding that environmental responsibility is taking center stage in the industry's growth. The region will have garment, agro-textile, and medical textile waste recycling companies; recycling of plastic and PET waste for textile application; fibre-to-fibre and yarn regeneration; sorting, shredding, and high-end recycling equipment; EPR compliance; traceability; green certifications; and AI-based waste management solutions.

SPE India will strengthen the initiative with knowledge sessions and panel discussions with experts from academia, policy think tanks, and major corporations. These sessions will discuss circular product design, industry compliance, waste recovery advancements, and investing in green technologies. SPE India President Ramesh Parasuraman highlighted that the ReCycle Zone will extend beyond an exhibition area to enable critical dialogue, partnerships, and scalable science-driven recycling solutions.
The opening of this zone is in accordance with India's sustainability objectives, such as schemes like LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) and PM MITRA Parks. With technical textiles being used more in defence, healthcare, automotive, and agriculture, incorporating recycling and circular thinking has become essential.
Marking its 10th anniversary, Techtextil India is the nation's most extensive show for technical textiles, nonwovens, and composites, spanning 12 application segments from protective clothing to intelligent textiles. The show will be preceded by the India edition of the high-profile Dornbirn Global Fibre Conference on November 18, 2025, at the same location, setting the stage for three days of industry innovation and collaboration.
