B.Amarnath,CEOQuick service restaurants (QSRs) and casual & fine dining restaurants account for about 75-80 percent of the organized Indian restaurants and food services industry. What accounts for this market share is the segment’s quick deliveries and competitive pricing that attract consumers across age group, majorly 15-40 years. But not all QSR and fine dining restaurants work on the Farm-to-Fork model. Among the very few who does, Meat & Eat (ME) serves fresh and hygienic veg and non-veg fast food options to customers at an affordable price. Every cuisine is Indianized in taste and is offered with a quality assurance (fresh & hygienic) served at par with international chains. An innovative company, ME has launched 18 innovative burgers including Pasta Burger & Cheese Burst Burgers, apart from Grillicken spicy drumstick and wings and many more. “Our innovation cuts down the investment for every product compared to market players, which helps us increase inclination towards localized menu. Our fine-tuned operations further help us to retain the customer taste buds at affordable price,” asserts Puvi Kumar, Managing Director, Meat & Eat.

A Quality Conscious Company
Believing that every customer should get only the best of delicacies and nothing else, ME prepares every product separately with standard operating procedure while
frequently training its employees on hygiene and food handling. These cleanliness obsessive and highly efficient staff are further trained to operate ME’s high-end machineries. ME uses high standard operating procedure with maximum shelf life raw materials that are served to the outlets, which minimizes the waste and maximizes the profile margins. To further penetrate the market and continue offering innovative delicacies, ME plans seasonal offers during vegetarian seasons, and has tied up with retailers to do cross promotion with discount coupons to the customers who walk-in and redeemed at its outlets. This is why ME has expanded to over 250 outlets PAN India across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Kerala, Assam and West Bengal, and serves over one lakh customers per month only through online aggregators like Swiggy, Zomato, Uber and Dunzo. “40 percent of our restaurant business is due to our online partners,” explains Puvi. ME has also won awards akin to The World Greatest Brand & The World Greatest Leader 2015-16 – India by Asia One, Excellence in Burger and Fried Chicken 2018 by Radio City, Fastest Growing QSR Chain 2019 by Times Hospitality Icon amongst several others. A brand of KAVI Group, Meat & Eat was established in 2013 as a chain of QSR & family restaurants. Within six months of its inception, the company quickly fine-tuned the operations in the areas of products, delivery, restaurant layout, franchisee model, advertising & marketing strategy and more. This helped the company to bring consistency across all its franchises. KAVI’s another company Countfoodis operates a range of outlets in the QSR across seven Indian= states with a strong backend integration that enables predictable and cost-effective supply chain.

“We own a group of companies implementing Farm to Fork model. Together they play a strong role in providing seamless, fresh and hygienic food to our consumers,” asserts Puvi. Focused on PAN India expansion in the QSR and ACDR segments, the company leverages strong growth factors like increasing consumption, healthy eating, and easier access to customers via online ordering platforms. Going ahead, it looks increasing its footprint PAN India with over 1500 outlets by end of 2023.
