A dynamic domain that determines the solidity of the engineering industries by evaluating the dilapidation of the structures to prevent hazards and accidents, the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) market is developing significantly. Driven by the technological innovations which have led to the invention of novel methods and technologies with improved fault detection and safety, the NDT market is expected to reach a value of USD 24.65 billion by 2025, at a CAGR of 6.7 percent during the forecast period 2020-2025.

Leveraging the advantages of the evolving industry to deliver elevated testing techniques and outcomes, Powertest Asia is an independent testing organization since 1995 with an acknowledged record of ensuring the finest testing services to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of Power Equipment, Utilities, and Service Providers in Power & Industry sectors. Established by N.V. Satyanarayana, Powertest Asia not only assists the customers in identifying the real condition of the machinery, but also in determining the nature of repair and maintenance along with impeccably engineering solutions.

Headquartered in Hyderabad Powertest Asia is one of the foremost providers of Detailed Diagnostic Tests (On-line/Off-line), Residual Life Assessments Studies on Rotating Machines, Turbines, Generators, Transformers, Power Cables, CVTs, Switchyard, CTs, PTs, Surge Arrestors, NDT Activities, Turbine Bolts Loosening & Tightening through Induction and more. "Generally, our clients approach us with various pain points such as the breakdown of power equipment or detailed condition assessment of power equipment at short notice. We have multiple sets of our test equipment as well as a team of professionals
at all our branch offices to mobilize immediately and offer customized solutions as per their need," says N.V. Satyanarayana, Managing Director, Powertest Asia.

An ISO: 9001 Certified company, Powertest Asia follows IEEE 62.2-2004 `Guide for Diagnostic field testing of Electric Power Apparatus Electrical machinery' and other international standards apart from adhering to various regulatory compliances such as ESI, PF and more. "We are heavily investing in the recent technologies and development of novel methods which are better than the conventional methods. Powertest Asia developed a state of the art test method to carry out Natural Frequency Test (NFT) on Steam Turbine LP Rotor free-standing blades.

For this novel state of the art method, Powertest Asia has applied for patent No.201641039558. Ensuring various advantages such as improved safety for the turbine components and the operating persons during the NFT test, the method requires significantly less manpower. Compared to the old conventional method, more no. of blades can be tested in one position resulting to reduction of the number of changing rotor positions during the test saving up to 30 to 40 percent test cycle time (average 1 to 1.5 days)," states Mr.N.V. Satyanarayana.
