Being a country that has been having trade relationships with the Middle East for many centuries now, it is obvious that the Arabian cuisine has had a major cult following in the country. One foodstuff that has been a fan favorite year after year is Shawarma. One can find this in almost all of the eateries offering Arabian cuisine. The Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) has become one of the most important players in bringing in these varied foodstuffs into the country, yet there has been industry level gaps in terms of support or guidelines from the Food Safety institutions in statutory training and these QSR restaurants are left in the dark to find their way through this all by themselves.

"With the exposure of Aashish and Aayush being from the Middle East, we knew that there was a dearth of authentic Shawarma brands here in Bangalore and they really missed the authentic taste back home. Seeing this opportunity, Aayush shared the idea of creating a brand for Shawarmas where we would be serving Shawarmas in the authentic style by using the authentic sauces, ingredients and breads, the same was immediately accepted by our whole team and our set up process was well-executed with the MBA expertise of both mine and Aashish", says Neelesh R, Promoter, Just Shawarma.

Even before starting their operations, the founders had aspired to follow the most hygienic and authentic process to become a globally recognized brand when it comes to offering traditional Shawarmas. The QSR has standardized all their process, procedures, and recipes to ensure that all the food safety
procedures are followed. Just Shawarma now has 26 outlets in Bangalore and the customers have fallen in love with the brand and they prides themselves in saying that they have `Customers turned franchisees'.

Just Shawarma has been religiously following SOPs to make their operations more successful and they offer end-to-end franchising services for their partners and over the years they have created a successful franchising model. "We give great importance to site selection and we conduct elaborate location analysis to find the perfect location to launch the new outlet. We also conduct market research studies to identify both the online and offline potential of the area and to find out the feasibility and viability of starting our operations there. The franchises which are in need to raise capital for setting up a Just Shawarma franchise are given complete support by our finance team by giving them the necessary projected P and L, and Balance Sheet. We also provide top-notch marketing support by organizing bespoke marketing campaigns that are relevant for that area. The franchises are also handed over the operations manual called the Yellow Book as it equips them for the smooth operations of a Just Shawarma outlet", says Neelesh.
